  1. Hi I am working with a young person who would be interested in attending a poetry slam.

Can I have the details for this?

    1. Hi Ashrafa,

Young Poets Network is not affiliated with Young Identity in Manchester, so to get in touch with them, please visit their website. The link is on this page (above); contact details can be found at:

We would also love to receive an application from the young people you work with in SLAMbassadors, which we launched yesterday! 13-18 year olds can apply for a free weekend of masterclasses with Joelle Taylor, and all young poets, MCs and rappers can apply to take part in our showcase in November. More information here:

If the young people you work with are aged 11-17, they are also eligible for the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award, with life-changing prizes such as mentoring, poetry books and more: It’s one of the biggest competitions for young poets in the world!

To keep up to date on all The Poetry Society offers young poets, you can also join our free mailing list:

I hope this is helpful, and best of luck!
