Opening in December 2019 and closing 11 May 2020, with an opportunity for feedback if you enter before 6 April 2020.

George Orwell wrote to alter perceptions on the kind of future society we want.  Now it’s your turn to decide that future. The Orwell Youth Prize is a social-justice based writing prize for 12-18 year olds from across the UK. Our 2020 theme is ‘The Future We Want’. Respond in any genre and on any subject: write about what’s most important to you.

The Orwell Youth Prize 2020 opens for entries in December 2019. All entries submitted by the 6th April will receive personalised feedback. Final deadline 11th May 2020. Find out more.
