Obsidian Foundation – writers’ retreat

Closed for 2020. Obsidian is a one-week retreat for Black poets of African descent aged 18+ selected by application who want to advance their writing practice led by five black acclaimed tutors.

Successful applicants will benefit from writing retreats, workshops and mentoring. It’s a long-term programme and the first ‘retreat’ will be online 30 November – 4 December 2020. You’ll have the chance to work with award-winning poets Roger Robinson, Raymond Antrobus, Malika Booker, Patricia Smith and Terrance Hayes. The cost is £50. Apply by 15 November.
