The deadly sun shone to dry out the land, and burned it ’till the very treatment touch on it was painful.
Yet still it is burnt, and the burn, notice, is a welt deeper than the pores of the ground which cover said country.
But said country is alive, and the burn on its back will not heal without progressive government care. After-sun and heir have applied themselves fully, the grass will root again, stretching like, what, skin? Over the bloody burn.
Then the country, she will be well again, and in safe hands.

Burn Notice

Annabelle Fuller

A patch of scorched grassland, surrounded by desert sand
The deadly sun shone to dry out the land, and burned it ’till the very treatment touch on it was painful.
Yet still it is burnt, and the burn, notice, is a welt deeper than the pores of the ground which cover said country.
But said country is alive, and the burn on its back will not heal without progressive government care. After-sun and heir have applied themselves fully, the grass will root again, stretching like, what, skin? Over the bloody burn.
Then the country, she will be well again, and in safe hands.
