Reopening 2018. The Oxfordshire Science Festival schools poetry competition is open to any child at primary or secondary school in Oxfordshire. Poems can be up to 150 words in any style, but must have a scientific theme. It could be about a scientific idea or discovery; a science lesson or experiment; a scientific issue that is important to you; a famous scientist, or just why you love science!
Winning poems will be performed at a Festival event on Saturday 17 June and will be published online. The school of the winning entrant will win a visit to the Diamond Light Source science facility in Harwell, Oxfordshire plus a years’ membership of Science Oxford and a hamper of science goodies or a science session delivered in their school.
