The Canterbury Tales Writing Competition

Closed for 2019. The Chaucer Heritage Trust is holding its second school writing competition inspired by The Canterbury Tales. The theme of the competition was Magic and Trickery. In 500 words or less students aged 5-19 can choose to write one of the following:

  • A poem or story about someone or something magical.
  • A tale involving someone playing a trick.
  • A description of a magical place.

There are three age groups and fantastic cash prizes for young writers and their schools.
